Product overview

Spectrum S-Flex 90A filament is a semi-flexible TPU for durable parts that must bend, cushion impacts and still provide useful support. Compared with softer flexible grades, it keeps more shape while preserving practical elasticity. Strong layer bonding, wear resistance and low shrinkage make it well suited to functional work in production teams, service workshops, schools and demanding maker projects.

A firmer balance of flexibility and support

S-Flex 90A sits between very soft rubber-like filaments and rigid engineering plastics. This semi-flexible behaviour gives parts enough movement for cushioning, sealing and snap-on functions, while providing more support than softer TPU grades. It is a practical option when a component must flex without feeling loose or difficult to handle.

Good adhesion between printed layers helps create cohesive parts. Low shrinkage supports stable shapes, while the material can produce a clean surface with reduced stringing during printer idle movements. These qualities help workshops make functional flexible parts with a controlled finish.

Functional parts that absorb movement

Spectrum S-Flex 90A is designed for gaskets, bumpers, vibration dampers and other energy-absorbing components. It also suits guides, protective housings, snap-on parts, sleeves and flexible hinges. This range covers maintenance parts, equipment protection, workshop aids and product prototypes as well as practical household projects.

The combination of flexibility and mechanical support is especially useful where a softer material would deform too easily. Designers can use it for parts that need cushioning or movement while retaining a defined functional shape.

Wear and chemical resistance for demanding use

Very good wear and tear resistance makes this filament suitable for parts exposed to repeated movement or contact. It also resists many common industrial oils and chemicals, including weak and diluted acids and bases. This supports suitable sealing and protective applications around compatible service fluids.

Good resistance to ultraviolet radiation and ageing helps parts retain their useful material behaviour over time. Together with strong interlayer adhesion, these properties give professional users clear reasons to choose S-Flex 90A for durable flexible components.

When to choose S-Flex 90A

Choose S-Flex 90A when a part needs firmer support than softer TPU while retaining flexibility for bending, cushioning and energy absorption. Its wear and chemical resistance add practical value for durable functional components, especially gaskets, vibration dampers and snap-on parts. This balance is useful when very soft flexible filament would deform too easily.
