Product overview

Spectrum PLA Magic SILK filament is a PLA-based material for prints where visual movement, gloss and detail matter. Its dual-colour effect shifts with viewing angle and lighting, while the printed surface remains smooth, glossy and silky. Easy-print positioning makes the series accessible for decorative, interior-design, educational and prototype work.

Two colours in one co-extruded strand

Two colours share one filament strand through co-extrusion. Their visible balance changes as the object or light source moves, creating transitions and reflections across the model. Curves, facets and other detailed geometry provide changing surface directions, making detailed models a strong use for the effect.

A silky surface built for visual impact

The smooth, glossy finish gives printed parts a silky appearance without hiding the dual-colour character. It works especially well when the surface itself carries the design: display pieces, sculptural forms, interior objects and visual prototypes. Choose this series when the model should present a changing effect from different viewpoints rather than a fixed, uniform appearance.

Easy printing for creative applications

PLA Magic SILK is easy to print and supports FDM and FFF production. Documented applications include decorative art, interior design, educational projects and prototyping. For education, the shifting surface can demonstrate how geometry, viewing angle and lighting change appearance. For design work, it can turn a detailed prototype or presentation model into a more expressive visual object while preserving the smooth, silky finish.
