Product overview

Spectrum GreenyHT is a PLA-based high-performance biopolymer for functional demonstration prototypes, industrial design, modelling and artistic work. Compared with conventional PLA, it offers increased rigidity and hardness together with enhanced thermal resistance, while retaining straightforward desktop printing and a distinctive rough matt surface.

More capability than conventional PLA

GreenyHT gives designers and development teams a stiffer, harder material profile than classic PLA grades. Enhanced thermal resistance broadens its usefulness for functional evaluation when ordinary PLA is not the preferred match. These relative benefits make the series relevant for prototypes that must communicate more than shape alone.

The formulation is plasticiser-free and uses a GMO-free bio-base. GreenyHT is also described as biodegradable and industrially compostable under the controlled conditions defined by EN 13432. Industrial compostability is a specific end-of-life route and does not mean home compostability or unrestricted breakdown in the environment.

A finish made for presentation

The rough matt surface helps conceal visible layer lines, producing a more uniform visual appearance. This is valuable for design reviews, display models and artistic objects where surface character influences how the printed concept is perceived. Easy desktop printing also keeps the material accessible to professional studios, schools, workshops and individual makers.

Clear applications for design and evaluation

  • Functional demonstration prototypes: parts that communicate form and intended operation during evaluation.
  • Industrial-design prototypes: physical models for product development, presentation and design review.
  • Graphics and modelling: three-dimensional studies where a matt, layer-masking surface supports the visual result.
  • Artistic work: objects that use the rough surface as part of their final expression.

Choose Spectrum GreenyHT when a project needs familiar PLA-based processing with increased rigidity, enhanced thermal performance and a presentation-ready matt surface in one focused material.
