Product overview
Fiberlogy PCTG Refill is an impact-resistant PCTG filament for durable functional parts and repeat production, supplied as a spool-less insert for a reusable Fiberlogy spool. It combines low shrinkage, dimensional stability, crack resistance and strong mechanical performance while remaining approachable to print without a heated enclosure. Compared with standard PETG, it offers greater impact resistance and flexibility for workshops, print farms, product teams and demanding personal projects.
Performance for functional parts
This unreinforced copolyester is designed for parts that must survive handling, knocks and mechanical loads. Its high elongation at break supports toughness rather than brittle failure, while low shrinkage helps preserve geometry. Chemical resistance extends its usefulness for workshop components, although material compatibility should always match the substances in the actual application.
The combination is especially useful when ordinary PETG does not provide enough impact performance, but a highly rigid fibre-reinforced material is not the right fit.
Applications in workshops and product development
Use Fiberlogy PCTG Refill for strong prototypes, functional components, automotive accessories, airsoft parts and sports protectors. It also suits architectural models and design prototypes that need durability as well as accurate form. For professional users, reliable dimensional behaviour supports repeat jobs and short production runs. For individual makers, the same qualities make robust replacement parts and practical equipment easier to produce.
Why choose the Refill format
Unlike standard Fiberlogy PCTG supplied on a complete spool, this product is a spool-less insert for the reusable Fiberlogy spool. It keeps the performance of the regular PCTG grade while reducing disposable spool waste and shipping burden. This makes sense for print farms, schools and workshops that consume material regularly, as well as home users who already work with reusable spools.
Choose the carbon- or glass-fibre PCTG grades when maximum stiffness and dimensional stability are the main priorities. Choose PCTG Refill when you want the impact-resistant, flexible character of the standard unreinforced grade in a lower-waste format.
Practical printing guidance
A heated enclosure is not required. The material can bond very strongly to the build surface, so do not print directly on glass or an unprotected surface. Use a suitable adhesive as a separation layer or use masking tape to reduce the risk of damage during part removal.
To load the material, open the reusable spool, place the refill inside, close the spool and only then cut the retaining straps.
