Product overview

Fiberlogy Nylon PA12 filament is made for functional parts that need toughness, flexibility, wear resistance and dependable performance around oils and other industrial fluids. It suits engineering workshops, maintenance teams and experienced makers producing guides, gears, sliding bearings, machine components or durable prototypes. This unfilled PA12 remains flexible and impact resistant, helping parts withstand bending, vibration and repeated mechanical use.

Tough, flexible parts for real mechanical work

Choose this filament for components that must survive friction, movement and regular handling. Typical applications include guides, gears, sliding elements, nuts, functional prototypes and replacement machine parts. Its combination of strength and flexibility is also useful for automotive and industrial components exposed to impact or changing loads. If maximum stiffness is more important than flexibility, Fiberlogy’s fibre-reinforced PA12 grades are the more suitable direction.

Chemical resistance for workshop environments

Fiberlogy Nylon PA12 resists hydraulic fluids, oils, fuels, greases, salt water and many solvents. This makes it valuable for parts used around machinery, vehicles and maintenance equipment, where ordinary model materials may not offer the required chemical durability. The resistance is not universal: concentrated acids and bases can damage the material and should be excluded from the intended environment.

Useful finishing after printing

Printed parts can be machined with tools normally used for metalworking and can also be painted. This gives workshops more freedom to refine fits, clean up functional surfaces or prepare a finished component after printing. The result is a practical material for prototypes as well as final workshop parts.

Choose PA12 for demanding functional work

This is an engineering filament rather than a direct replacement for PLA or PETG. Choose it when functional parts need the durability, flexibility, wear resistance or chemical resistance that justify using nylon.
