Product overview
Fiberlogy Matte PETG filament combines the strength and durability of PETG with a low-gloss matte surface that hides layer lines. It is designed for parts that need to look refined without giving up practical performance. Compared with matte PLA, it provides greater strength and durability, making it a useful option for prototypes, functional parts and finished objects where appearance and service life both matter.
A refined finish with PETG durability
The matte surface reduces the shine associated with standard PETG and helps neighbouring layers blend into a more uniform finish. The reduced visibility of layer lines gives curves, broad walls, decorative pieces and presentation prototypes a cleaner, more consistent appearance.
This is not only an appearance-led filament. Fiberlogy Matte PETG retains the practical character expected from PETG, so it can also be used for durable functional parts. It is a strong alternative when standard glossy PETG offers the right material behaviour but not the visual result your project needs.
Reliable material behaviour
The material is easy to print. Low shrinkage supports dimensionally stable results, while reduced stringing helps keep detailed models and multi-part jobs cleaner. It is also resistant to acids, salts and alkaline substances. These qualities make it suitable for demanding prototypes and functional components as well as visible parts.
The balance of printability, durability and layer masking is useful in workshops, design studios and small production runs. It also gives individual makers a practical route to strong parts with a deliberately understated finish.
Recommended applications
- Functional and visual prototypes
- Durable parts where surface appearance is important
- Decorative objects and finished design elements
- Visible components that benefit from reduced layer visibility
Getting the best result
For high-speed printing, use the upper part of the recommended temperature range shown in the product parameters. Increase the number of perimeters and the infill level when part strength is the priority.
Matte PETG can bond very strongly to smooth build surfaces. Use a suitable adhesive as a separating layer, or use masking tape, to reduce the risk of damaging the build surface when removing the print.
