Product overview
Fiberlogy FiberSilk filament combines the familiar printing behaviour of PLA with a silky metallic finish that makes visual details stand out. Its glossy surface softens the appearance of layer lines, helping printed forms look smoother, more uniform and more expressive. This appearance-led material suits design studios, model makers and individual creators who want decorative or display parts to make a strong visual impression straight from the printer.
A surface that works with the geometry
The reflective sheen brings out curves, reliefs and fine features rather than covering them. Layer boundaries become less visible, while broad surfaces gain a stronger sense of depth. This makes FiberSilk useful when the printed surface is an important part of the design, from detailed display pieces to sculptural forms.
Decorative and design applications
FiberSilk is well suited to figurines, jewellery, decorative objects, designer elements and artistic 3D creations. It can also be used for designer functional parts where appearance is a priority. For studios and workshops, that means one material can cover display pieces and design-led parts; individual users gain the same polished visual character for personal projects. High strength, impact resistance and good layer adhesion support these applications without taking attention away from the finish.
Approachable PLA-like printing
Printing is comparable to traditional PLA, keeping the material approachable for customers who already use PLA and want to add a silk finish to decorative or design-led work. The extruded strand can also show visible swelling during loading or printing. This is a normal behaviour of the material formulation.
