Product overview
Fiberlogy FiberFlex 30D filament is designed for parts that must bend, compress and stretch rather than remain rigid. Its very soft, rubber-like behaviour suits workshops, maintenance teams, product developers and makers who need compliant functional parts from an FDM printer. Strong elasticity and resistance to impact at low temperatures, abrasion, chemicals and heat give this series a useful balance of flexibility and durability.
Why choose this softer flexible line
Choose FiberFlex 30D when the part needs a soft, compliant response under movement or pressure. It can withstand bending, squeezing and stretching, so printed parts can behave more like rubber than standard rigid plastics. This makes it useful wherever controlled flexibility matters more than stiffness.
Resistance to wear and chemicals supports functional components that face repeated handling or contact with demanding environments. High impact resistance at low temperatures also supports parts exposed to impacts in cooler conditions.
Applications for workshops and product development
Typical uses include gaskets, tyres, flexible hinges and machine elements that bend frequently. FiberFlex 30D also suits phone cases, watch and activity-tracker straps, bands, bracelets and flexible figures. These examples cover maintenance parts, protective products, wearables and projects where a rubber-like response is central to the design.
Prepare the printer for a very soft filament
The softness that gives FiberFlex 30D its main advantage also makes feeding more demanding. A direct-drive extruder is strongly recommended. Reduce print speed and extruder pressure to support stable material flow.
Use masking tape or a compatible adhesive as a separating layer on the build surface to simplify removal. A small amount of powder may appear during printing and does not affect the filament or the process. If more powder accumulates, clean the relevant printer components periodically so material feeding remains reliable.
