Product overview
Fiberlogy ASA filament is an engineering material for durable parts that must remain reliable and presentable outdoors. Resistance to UV exposure, weather and moisture makes it a strong choice for professional components, workshop projects and demanding personal use. Compared with ABS, it combines robust mechanical and heat performance with lower shrinkage and less unpleasant odour during printing.
Built for outdoor service
ASA is designed for parts exposed to sunlight, rain, humidity and changing outdoor conditions. It retains its properties and colour over time, helping printed components remain functional and presentable beyond prototyping. Mechanical strength, heat resistance and dimensional stability make it suitable for outdoor components, functional prototypes, housings and equipment that need long service in demanding environments.
More controlled than ABS
Lower shrinkage than ABS, together with strong adhesion, reduces the risk of warping and cracking and supports dimensionally stable prints. Odour is reduced compared with ABS.
Finishing and assembly options
Finished parts can be sanded and painted for a refined surface or a specific visual treatment. Acetone can be used for surface smoothing and for bonding separate printed elements, opening practical options for larger assemblies and presentation parts. This combination of functional durability and flexible post-processing is useful for production teams, workshops and experienced makers.
Typical applications
Fiberlogy ASA works particularly well for:
- Automotive and motorcycle parts, accessories and replacement components
- Outdoor housings, prototypes and technical components exposed to UV or moisture
- Sport guards, accessories and replacement parts
- Home and garden equipment, tools and durable everyday objects
- Sensor and microcontroller housings
Choose it when the project calls for long-term outdoor resistance, stable geometry and a finish that can be adapted after printing.
