Product overview
Fiberlogy CPE Antibac filament combines the strength and heat capability of a technical copolyester with antibacterial performance from silver nanoparticles. Choose it when a standard PETG or CPE part would be mechanically suitable, but the finished surface will be repeatedly touched or exposed to bacterial growth. Laboratory testing confirms antibacterial activity on printed parts against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus, making this grade especially relevant to public, laboratory and clinical environments.
Antibacterial function without giving up engineering performance
This is more than an ordinary PETG or general-purpose CPE filament. Fiberlogy CPE Antibac offers higher heat resistance than standard PETG and PCTG, while the silver-based additive gives the finished print its distinguishing antibacterial function. The material also combines high mechanical strength with resistance to UV radiation, chemicals and lipids. This supports durable functional parts that may face frequent handling, cleaning or demanding operating conditions.
Unlike Fiberlogy CPE HT, which focuses on technical strength and thermal resistance, CPE Antibac adds tested antibacterial activity. It is also odourless and made without BPA, BPS or styrene. These qualities make it a focused material for hygienically demanding parts rather than simply another tough copolyester.
Where CPE Antibac earns its place
Use this filament for plastic components in public spaces, shared touch points and functional parts exposed to bacterial growth. It is also well suited to laboratory equipment and clinical accessories where material durability and antibacterial performance matter together.
- Shared fixtures, control covers and frequently handled public components
- Laboratory holders, equipment accessories and functional housings
- Clinical accessories and durable organisational parts
- Technical components exposed to heat, UV, chemicals or lipid contamination
For workshops and professional users, the main purchase reason is clear: one printable material covers both robust copolyester performance and a tested antibacterial surface function. Hobby users gain the same advantage for practical objects used in shared or hygiene-sensitive spaces.
Practical printing guidance
CPE Antibac needs equipment suitable for technical, high-temperature copolyesters. Its strong build-surface adhesion deserves particular attention. Printing directly on bare glass or an unprotected build plate can damage the surface during part removal. Use a suitable adhesive or masking tape as a separating layer, then follow the recommended print settings for this grade.
